The deadline for the upcoming Mary Sue Rich Diversity Awards has been extended by the Racial Harmony and Cultural Awareness Task Force (REACH).
Nominations will now be accepted through Wednesday, September 15.
The REACH task force is seeking nominations for citizens who embrace the characteristics of promoting racial harmony and equality, raising cultural awareness and/or celebrating diversity in Ocala/Marion County, reported the City of Ocala.
The public is encouraged to submit nomination forms for individuals and businesses who should be recognized in their efforts to unify Ocala.
Hard copies of the nomination form can be picked up and submitted Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department located at 828 NE Eighth Ave.
