Start Smart T-Ball League coming to Jervey Gantt

The Ocala Parks and Recreation Department will host a new t-ball series for children beginning later this month.

Beginning Monday, September 20, the city will host a new Start Smart T-Ball League on Mondays and Thursdays through October 28 at the Jervey Gantt T-Ball Complex.

Children will have the opportunity to learn basic skills for baseball, softball, or t-ball, while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with parents.

The program is geared towards kids between the ages of five and six years old.  it will focus on teaching children and parents how to throw, catch, bat, and run without the threat or fear of getting hurt.

Games will take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Jervey Gantt Park, which is located at 2200 SE 36th Avenue in Ocala.

The cost to participate is $50 per child.
