Salvation Army of Ocala asking for volunteers to sort, bag toys for children

The Salvation Army of Ocala is asking Marion County residents to consider volunteering to help sort and bag toys that will be donated to children this holiday season.

The nonprofit says it will need volunteers through December to help sort and bag toys that are received through the Angel Tree Program.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country each year.

The local installment needs volunteers to work any hours Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to a social media post from the organization, opportunities to volunteer begin in November. For more information, or to sign up to volunteer, please call Shirley at (352) 421-9432 or visit the Salvation Army of Ocala website.
