The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks department has announced the lineup for this year’s ‘After Dark in the Park’ movie series.

These events will bring the following movies to various parks across the city on select Fridays throughout the year:

  • Friday, February 25 at 7 p.m. – “The Princess and the Frog” at Webb Field in the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex (1510 NW 4th Street).
  • Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m. – “Dreamgirls” at Tuscawilla Art Park (213 NE 5th Street). This movie is rated PG-13.
  • Friday, September 9 at 8 p.m. – “The Karate Kid” at Tuscawilla Park Oak Grove (500 NE 9th Street).
  • Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m. – “The Village” at Fort King National Historic Landmark (3925 E Fort King Street). This movie is rated PG-13.
  • Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m. – “The Santa Clause” at Tuscawilla Park Oak Grove (500 NE 9th Street).

Each event is free and open to the public. Popcorn, drinks, and other refreshments will be available for purchase.

All attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
