Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash at the 3100 block of E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala on Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 7 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue’s Engine 5, Rescue 3, Tower 1, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer responded to the scene of the crash.
Battalion Chief 22 was the first to arrive and observed a heavily damaged gray sedan.
The vehicle’s passenger was trapped inside. Rescue crews began patient care while engine and tower crews removed the vehicle’s passenger-side doors with extrication tools.
Once the passenger was removed from the vehicle, both the passenger and driver were transported to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The names of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.
