Outdoor sculpture exhibit opens this weekend with Tuscawilla Sculpture Stroll Celebration

The City of Ocala is gearing up for the Tuscawilla Sculpture Stroll Celebration this weekend.

The popular event will be held on Saturday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tuscawilla Art Park located at 213 NE 5th Street.

The Biennial Ocala Outdoor Sculpture competition will feature 10 sculptures from artists across North America, and these works will be at Tuscawilla Park for a 22-month exhibit that spans across 45-acres of green space in downtown Ocala.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this time, event attendees can cast votes for their favorite sculpture, and all competition award winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m. on the Tuscawilla Art Park stage.

The event will feature tours of the new sculptures, live music, food trucks, art vendors, and family-friendly art activities with local non-profit organizations.

A Beginning of Bolted Art (BOBA) Brunch will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the stroll celebration. Brunch and mimosas will be served on the platform of the Ocala Union Station overlooking the park.

Tickets for the brunch are available online for $25 or they can be purchased at the door for $30.
