The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back its Archery Workshop sessions, and registration opens later this month.
The first session will be held on Thursday, September 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Silver Springs Archery Range, which is located at 5227 NE 35th Street in Ocala.
Two additional sessions are scheduled on Thursday, October 27 and Thursday, November 24, and both sessions will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Each workshop date is an individual session, and participants will learn the finer points of archery through a variety of games and activities. The lessons will cover archery safety, equipment instruction, proper shooting form, and shooting etiquette.
Registration for the workshop sessions will open on Monday, August 29. Each session is open to anyone ages 9 and older, and there is a $20 cost per participant.
