Johnny P. Caruthers, Jr. 78, Ocala, FL departed this world to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
He was born in Wildwood, Sumter County, Florida, and is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Caruthers, Ocala, FL; daughters, Donna (Steve) Gahlbeck, Clermont, FL; Angela McLemore, Ocala, FL; Theresa Ansbaugh, Plantation, FL; and Kami ( Brian) Dyals Ocala, FL; six siblings, Patricia (Randy) D. Gwaltney, Oxford, FL; Linda (Roger) A. Roloff, Ocala, FL; Wanda (Richard) M. Pooley, Orlando, FL; Donald (Kathleen) G. Caruthers, Kentucky, Paul White, Ocala, FL; and Sydney S. Caruthers, Ocala, FL; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Mr. Caruthers was a member of Central Christian Church of Ocala, FL. He enjoyed family, football, and golf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be provided to Central Christian Church where Johnny loved to worship and serve for many years.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 3010 NE 14 St, Ocala, FL, with Pastor Doug Reed officiating.
Following the service, refreshments will be served for family and friends at the church.
