Ocala to host water conservation workshops at Mary Sue Rich Community Center

The City of Ocala Water Resources Department is celebrating Water Conservation Month in April by hosting workshops on how to save water indoors and outdoors.

According to the city, the free EyeOnWater app makes it easy to save water. Ocala’s water customers can use this app to see their water usage and receive potential water leak notifications.

Gabriela Sullivan, the City of Ocala Water Conservation Coordinator, will host two workshops to help customers log on and navigate the EyeOnWater app. These workshops will be held on Wednesday, April 19 and Saturday, April 29 at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, which is located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.

Both workshops will begin at 11 a.m., and light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Workshop attendees are encouraged to bring a smartphone or laptop and a copy of their account number, which can be found on the top right corner of their monthly City of Ocala Municipal Services bill. An account number and smartphone or tablet are necessary to access the EyeOnWater app.

Both workshops are free and open to the public. In addition, attendees will receive a free indoor water conservation kit while supplies last.
