Elwood Tippett, 79, of Ocala, Florida passed away on April 8, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 3, 1943 to Clem and Edith Tippett. He was raised in Miami, Florida. He moved to Ocala, Florida in 1980 with his wife, Margie and two sons, Kevin and Keith.
Elwood was predeceased in death by his beautiful wife of 49 1⁄2 years, Margie Tippett.
He leaves to cherish his memories his two sons, Kevin Tippett (Lizzie) and Keith Tippett (Christy) and grandchildren Tanner Tippett (Shelbi), Tyler Tippett (Kasey), Zachary Tippett and Skyler Tippett and great grandchildren Kennedy Tippett, Emerson Tippett and future to be Maddox Tippett.
Elwood was a kind and loving soul that was always selfless in his actions. He will be greatly missed and remembered by many whose lives he touched.
His family knows he is enjoying his favorite music blissfully right beside the love of his life, Margie Ann. Elwood’s passions were spending time with his family and most importantly his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf and watching his New York Yankees. Elwood was a Marine Corp Veteran and served his country from 1966-1968.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to Alzheimer’s Association and/or Hospice of Marion County.
