James “Jim” M. Miller, 72, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on March 30, 2023, in Ocala.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of Ocala, his son, Mike (Geri) of Omaha, Nebraska, daughter, Mandy of Ocala, and three grandsons, Dylan, Dylan, and Christopher of Omaha.

Jim had very strong bonds with his cousins and family members in Connecticut. Jim served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1990, and was stationed in Texas, Japan, Alaska, and Nebraska. He met several of his lifelong friends in the Air Force and was known to share stories of his adventures from those years. After retiring from the Air Force, Jim went to work for First Data Resources in Omaha, working in the Systems area and the Data Center. With his great sense of humor, Jim formed many friendships with his colleagues, and created more memories traveling for work, golfing or just grabbing beers. After retiring from First Data, Jim and Donna spent several years in Omaha until moving to Florida in 2016. Jim was a lifelong, very loyal New York Giants and New York Yankees fan and an avid golfer. Jim and Donna spent many years enjoying the outdoors and taking kids on camping trips each summer. He ran a tight ship at home and was very proud of Mike and Mandy.

Jim will be interred at the Omaha National Cemetery on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at Jim’s favorite bar, The Century, in Omaha on April 22, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Jim would have encouraged you to see a ball game, grab beers with friends, share stories of your best times in life or enjoy a round of golf.
