Ocala police responded to a local apartment complex on Thursday night after receiving a report that shots were fired in the area.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., an individual called the Ocala Police Department and reported that a shooting had occurred at the Saddleworth Green apartment complex located at 2901 SW 41st Street, according to a social media post from OPD.
Upon arrival at the apartment complex, officers located a male victim who had sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds and is expected to survive.
No further details were released by OPD. “Detectives are currently investigating the case, and we will provide more information as it becomes available,” stated the police department on its Facebook page.
