To the Editor:

For those of us who live out in the “forest on State Road 40” in Silver Springs and this side of Ocklawaha, near the Winn Dixie at the corner of 314A and State Road 40: We could really use a Walgreens out here in the forest on East State Road 40. We have a CVS out here, but many people hate CVS.

Also, we could use some restaurants and fast-food choices. All we have is a Chinese Take-Out, Domino’s, and Subway. We have to drive all of the way in to Silver Springs Boulevard, and then our only choices on this end of Silver Springs Boulevard are Outback, Bob Evans, Burger King, and Arby’s. Otherwise, we have to drive to State Road 200 to eat something good.

It would be great to get a Taco Bell, Checkers, Texas Roadhouse, and others out here in the “forest.” East State Road 40 is a heavily traveled road, with many going to Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. We feel these businesses would do well out here in the forest.
