A road closure is in effect on SW 27th Avenue, from SW 66th Street to SW 42nd Street, due to flooding.
Any motorists traveling in the area will need to use an alternate route.
A flood watch was issued earlier this morning for Marion County, and it will remain in effect through Thursday evening. An additional three to six inches of rainfall is forecast, and locally higher totals are possible.
As heavy rainfall continues throughout Ocala/Marion County, the Ocala Police Department is reminding motorists to drive with caution and utilize their vehicle’s headlights.
