Man bites, punches, and chokes woman in Ocala camper

A 24-year-old Ocala man is behind bars after a woman with bite marks and swelling on her face accused him of battering her inside of a camper.

On Friday, July 7, at around 9:45 p.m., an Ocala Police Department officer responded to an RV campground located in the 4000 block of NW Blitchton Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. According to the arrest report, a man had called 911 and kept stating that there was no emergency, and he insisted that the call was accidental.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a man, identified as Christian Patrick Parker, who was standing near one of the lots, according to the arrest report.

Parker told the officer that he had called 911 due to an altercation and “allegations being brought up.” The officer noted in the report that Parker stated, “If a victim stands up and says (they were) abused, then that’s what I did.”

The officer was informed by Parker that his significant other, referred to in the report as the female victim, was in the bathroom. The victim soon came to the front door of the camper, and she stepped outside to speak with the officer. The OPD report stated that she began to cry, and she told the officer that she wanted Parker to leave.

The officer noted in the report that the victim had a swollen right cheek with visible bite marks and a swollen right upper eyelid. She stated that the injuries had occurred “a little bit ago.”

The victim advised that Parker had gotten upset when she informed him that her cellphone had died, and they returned to the camper to recharge her phone. Once they were inside the camper, the victim stated that Parker approached her aggressively, and she told him to “get out of her face.” She advised that Parker proceeded to bite her right cheek, according to the OPD report.

After allegedly biting the victim, Parker broke a binder that the victim used for her job. The victim stated that Parker then picked up the binder and threw it at her, striking the left side of her face. According to the victim, they both spat on each other, and Parker punched her on the right side of her face.

The victim told the officer that Parker began choking her with one hand shortly after the punch was thrown. He then allegedly placed both hands around her neck, and she claimed that she was unable to breathe for approximately 10 seconds. During the incident, the victim stated that she was so terrified that she urinated in her pants, according to the OPD report.

The officer returned to Parker. After being read his Miranda rights, Parker stated that he did not know what had happened to the victim’s face. In the OPD report, the officer noted that Parker claimed the marks around the victim’s neck could have been caused by “rough sex.”

Parker was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on $3,500 bond. He is facing a felony charge for domestic battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor charge for simple domestic battery.

A court date has been scheduled at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, according to jail records.
