Recreational courts at two Ocala parks to temporarily close

The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department will temporarily close multiple recreational courts next week to perform scheduled maintenance.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, the tennis courts located at Tuscawilla Park (800 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala) will close to the public. The recreation and parks department states that these courts are expected to reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13.

The basketball courts at Tuscawilla Park will also close to the public beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6. These courts are expected to reopen the same day by 5 p.m.

In addition, the basketball and racquetball courts at Clyatt Park (1501 SE 17th Street) are scheduled to close for maintenance at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 7. These courts are expected to reopen the same day by 5 p.m.

All dates are subject to change due to weather conditions.

According to the city, all other recreational areas at Tuscawilla Park and Clyatt Park will remain open to the public during the temporary court closures. To view a list of additional courts that will be open during this time, visit the Ocala Recreation and Parks Department website.
