Soul Asylum, a Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling rock band, is bringing their tour to Ocala in November.

On Friday, November 17, Soul Asylum will perform at the Reilly Arts Center, which is located at 500 NE 9th Street in Ocala. The current band lineup features Dave Pirner (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Bland (drums), Ryan Smith (lead guitar) and Jeremy Tappero (bass).

The band’s breakthrough came with the release of their 1992 album Grave Dancers Union, which features the international hits “Runaway Train,” “Black Gold,” and “Somebody to Shove.”

“Runaway Train” earned Soul Asylum a Grammy award, and the song’s music video brought nearly two dozen missing and exploited children and teens around the world home to their families.

Over the course of their career, Soul Asylum has released 12 original albums, as well as multiple live albums and greatest hits collections. The 2020 release of Hurry Up and Wait landed the band with their highest Billboard chart position since 1995’s platinum-selling Let Your Dim Light Shine.

Tickets are now on sale for the November 17th concert at the Reilly Arts Center, ranging from $25 to $55. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., and it will feature special guest Drivin N Cryin.
