A taproom that opened its first location in Wildwood in 2020 has expanded into east Ocala.
The Sunny Pint Taproom & Eatery is currently in the midst of a soft opening at 4901 E Silver Springs Boulevard, Suite 503, in Six Gun Plaza, replacing MAE Beer & Tapas.
The new business is owned and operated by Susan Sidoti and Simone Waddell, who provided an update on the taproom’s progress in a video announcement posted to the company’s YouTube channel on Monday.
Although the owners had originally hoped to open the location earlier this year, the new location had to go through a series of challenges and approvals.
The owners say they got approval from the City of Ocala last week, and have been working at a series of soft opening gatherings in the coming days and weeks. They hope to announce their opening date sometime soon.
The Sunny Pint features a rotating selection of local and regional craft beers, “many of which are sourced directly from local breweries,” according to the company’s website.
In addition to its drinks, the restaurant features a variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and flatbreads.
The business regularly hosts events and live music that highlight local performing artists and causes.
Currently, the location in Wildwood operates Monday through Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Sunny Pint joins several other businesses that have opened in the complex over the past year, including More Than Games, a shop that buys, sells, and trades new and retro video games and consoles.
