Marion County’s annual Carnival returns to Southeastern Livestock Pavilion this weekend

The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Carnival is returning to Ocala this weekend.

The 5th installment of the popular event will take place on Saturday, October 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion located at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road.

The family-friendly carnival will feature costume contests, inflatables, food trucks, face painting, games, music, and plenty of candy. There will also be a haunted maze.

Admission to the carnival is free, and all attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item for donation to Bring the Harvest Home, which is an annual donation drive in Marion County that allows for local residents and businesses to help those in need during the holiday season.

According to the parks and recreation department, anyone who brings a donation for Bring the Harvest Home will be entered into a prize drawing that will be held during the carnival.
