Sewer extension project to cause temporary road closure on SW 38th Avenue

Motorists in southwest Ocala can expect a temporary road closure in the southbound lane of SW 38th Avenue, from SW 20th Street to SW 22nd Street, beginning on Monday, October 30.

According to the City of Ocala, the road closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. on Monday, October 30 through 4 p.m. on Friday, November 3.

During this time, Miller Pipeline LLC will be working for the city to connect a sewer line and install manholes in the southbound lane of SW 38th Avenue as part of the Meadow Oaks Sewer Extension project. Equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way.

Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around the work zones. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
