Precautionary boil water notice rescinded for several communities in Marion County

Marion County Utilities has rescinded a precautionary boil water notice for homes and businesses within the Bluefields, Delcrest, Fort King Forest, Hi Cliff, Regency Estates, and Sleepy Hollow communities.

On Saturday, November 18, the boil water notice was issued as a precaution after repairs were conducted on a water main.

According to a media release from Marion County, the “satisfactory completion” of a bacteriological survey has shown that the water is safe to drink.

Marion County Utilities is notifying all affected customers via emails, interactive community calls, media release, and/or social media.
