One driver was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert following a two-vehicle crash in Ocala on Thursday night.
According to Ocala Fire Rescue, two vehicles – a white SUV and gray SUV – collided just before 11 p.m. on 14th Street.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they observed two SUVs that were both upright with heavy front-end damage.
OFR stated that one person was trapped inside the white SUV, and the remaining individuals involved in the accident were ambulatory.
Firefighters stabilized the white SUV and removed one of its doors. Within six minutes, the occupant was freed from the wreckage, and they were taken to the hospital.
No further injuries were reported.
In addition to several Ocala Fire Rescue units, the Ocala Police Department, Ocala Electric Utility, and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene of the accident.
