The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department’s ambassador, Rex the Squirrel, is offering to send specially designed postcards to local children on Valentine’s Day.
“Feel the Love from Rex this Valentine’s Season!” stated the recreation and parks department on social media.
Ocala residents have until Thursday, February 8 to sign up online for a free postcard from Rex. According to the city, a total of 500 postcards are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Residents must provide a valid recipient’s name and mailing address. The postcards will be mailed on or by Wednesday, February 14, and the city states that it is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced mailers.
