The parking garage in downtown Ocala will be partially closed beginning Tuesday morning as the facility undergoes extensive deep cleaning this week.
Located at 296 Broadway Street, Parking Garage One will be closed all day Tuesday, May 7, through Thursday, May 9.
The facility will resume regular parking operations on Friday, May 10, according to city officials, who say the facility will undergo an extensive deep cleaning.
Restricted areas will be marked off and vehicles parked in those areas will be towed at the owner’s expense, according to the city.
During the closure, signs will be in place to specify parking deck closures and direct guests to available parking around the rest of downtown Ocala.
There are approximately 478 on-street parking spaces located throughout the downtown and midtown areas. In recent weeks, the city opened a new, free public parking lot at the intersection of W Fort King Street and SW 3rd Avenue in downtown Ocala.
