Ocala country singer nominated for two independent music awards

An Ocala country singer has been nominated for two separate awards, including country vocalist of the year, by the largest and most prestigious independent music awards show in the nation.

Noah Hunton has been nominated in two categories at the Josie Music Awards, which seek to recognize independent music in all forms and genres.

“Two nominations! Let’s go! Thank you God for giving me this amazing gift to sing, perform and [write songs],” said Hunton in a thank you message to his fans and social followers.

Just days after opening for Dylan Scott, and on the heels of several new song releases, the young country artist continues to pave his path to stardom.

On May 4, Hunton opened for Scott at SunFest in West Palm Beach. Hunton was awarded that opportunity after he earned more votes than his fellow singers in the “Open For an Icon” competition.

Last month, Hunton performed at the Levitt AMP Music Series in Ocala.

Dating back to last year, Hunton has released multiple singles en route to amassing over 25,000 social media followers across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.

Hunton released his most recent single, “A Little Less Jack, A Little More Jesus,” on the same day as his SunFest performance.

In March, Hunton released “Everywhere Else” across all platforms. In November, Hunton released “Bartender,” and in October, he┬áreleased “Shotgun Ridin’.” All of the songs have amassed thousands of streams since Hunton first shared them.

The 10th annual Josie Music Awards will take place on October 26, 2024 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. Show runners claim the show is the “largest, most respected, and revered” awards show in the independent music industry.
