There is still time for players and established teams to sign up for the Ocala Recreation and Parks Department’s basketball league for adults, which returns next week.
The league’s upcoming season will tip off on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.
The basketball league, which is open to men ages 18 and up, offers a 10-game season with full-court, 5-on-5 play. In addition, the games will include referees, statistic tracking, and a scorekeeper in attendance.
According to the Ocala Recreation and Parks Department, the teams will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays starting on September 2. Games will take place through October 9.
After completing the regular season, all teams will qualify for a single elimination playoff at the end. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.
