Residents over the age of 50 are invited to participate in beginner crochet classes that will be held regularly at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center.

The workshop will take place every Tuesday, with the next class scheduled for September 3, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the center, which is located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.

During the workshop, visitors will engage in a beginner-level crochet class that will introduce them to fundamental techniques and stitches.

Students will learn how to create basic chains, as well as additional basics of crochet in order to initiate their own projects.

Classes are free for ages 50 and over. Participants will need to bring their own crotchet hook, between a size 4-5, yarn, and scissors.
