A 48-year-old Belleview man was arrested after he allegedly sent text messages to his brother-in-law threatening to kill him.
On Tuesday, September 3, the male victim visited the Marion County Sheriff’s Office headquarters and told two deputies that his brother-in-law, Carl Michael Stiles, was sending death threats to him via text message, according to the arrest report.
The victim advised that Stiles had previously been evicted from the victim’s property, which led to “tensions within the family.” In addition, Stiles allegedly accused the victim of having a video that showed him “under the influence of narcotics,” though the report stated that the victim denied possessing such a video.
One of the deputies noted in the report that the victim had received multiple text messages from a phone number belonging to Stiles at around 4 p.m. on Monday, September 2. According to the report, those messages included:
- “I’m going to tell you this. I don’t care about going back to prison.”
- “I promise you praying go get your restraining order and everything you’re still a dead man. I’m going to kill you now. F*** boy.”
- “You are a dead f***ing man walking as long as I’m f***ing breathing. I’m gonna try to kill you.”
- “I don’t care if I go to jail when I come out. I’m still gonna come after you.”
- “I’m gonna f***ing kill you.”
- “Before I open my f***ing mouth and say anything to you. No I know I’m gonna kill you.”
- “Last text dead man walking get insurance policy n*****.”
- “Dude, and I’m not playing with you. I’m gonna kill you for f***ing real.”
- “I’m gonna shed your f***ing blood and watch your eyes rolling in the back of your f***ing head and spit in your f***ing face, you sand n*****.”
- “I’m gonna get you back very f***ing soon. It’s a party gonna cost you your f***ing life, so get your insurance policy. So then kids are taken care of please.”
The deputies made contact with the victim’s wife, and she stated that she had also received threatening text messages from Stiles at around 1 p.m. on September 2. The report stated that those threatening messages, which were allegedly sent by Stiles, included:
- “Cause I don’t give a f*** I’m going to skin that motherf***er alive.”
- “I’m not trying to aggravate you, but you better get an insurance policy. I aint playing. I don’t care if I go to jail to prison whatever every time I touched the soul I’m going to come after him.”
Deputies located Stiles on Tuesday, September 3, and he was booked into Marion County Jail shortly after 10 p.m. He is currently being held without bond, and he is being charged with sending written threats to kill or do bodily harm.
A court date has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
