The 35th Central Florida Peanut Festival will return this weekend to a city just outside of Marion County.

The festival will take place on Saturday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Heritage Park, which is located at 116 N Main Street in Williston.

The festival will feature over 100 vendors selling arts, crafts, food and providing information.

Visitors may enjoy a bag of boiled peanuts while listening to live music from Butch Batts and the Southbound Band.

According to event organizers, new peanut royalty will be crowned (children ages birth to 6) and one lucky person will walk away with $2,000 cash. There’s also a photo contest with cash prizes.
