The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a 46-year-old stalking suspect who is wanted for cutting off his ankle monitor this morning.

The MCSO Domestic Violence unit announced on Sunday afternoon that it is actively searching for Adam Knisley in reference to “cutting off his court-ordered, pre-trial, monitoring device” this morning.

According to court records, Knisley was arrested in October on charges of stalking and possession of methamphetamine.

An arrest affidavit filed by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office shows that on October 29, deputies responded to an address in Ocala in an attempt to locate Knisley on probable cause for stalking.

When Knisley was found, deputies located a container inside his pocket with a substance that later tested positive as methamphetamine. He was transported to the Marion County jail at the time without incident. Knisley was then released on bond on November 4.

Anyone with information about Knisley’s whereabouts is asked to contact MCSO at 352-732-9111.
