Marion school officials will host a career fair this week to hire teachers, support staff, and several other active vacancies across the district.

Marion County Public Schools will host a Winter Career Fair on Thursday, December 5, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Howard Academy Community Center (306 NW 7th Avenue, Ocala).

The district is trying to fill the positions for teachers, support staff, transportation team members, food services team members, and after-school program team members.

“The event is ideal for college students graduating in December and families wanting to relocate to Marion County in the new year,” reads a statement from MCPS.

Job candidates will have the opportunity to interview face-to-face on-site with school principals and district administrators. Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and to “dress for success,” according to MCPS.

The Winter Career Fair is a joint partnership between MCPS, CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, and the Marion County Hospital District.
