As the year comes to a close, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating six fugitives who have eluded law enforcement in 2024.

Jahwreinsley Marley is wanted for three counts of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, human trafficking for commercial sex activity, solicitation, and battery.
According to MCSO, Marley has allegedly “taken away the innocence of more than one child,” permanently changing the lives of those victims.
Deputies believe that Marley has people who are helping to keep him hidden.“If you are hiding him, I will have a spot for you in my jail as well,” said Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods on social media.

Eddie Rocker is wanted for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, felony battery, firing a missile into a dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a firearm during a felony.
According to MCSO, an argument over a phone alarm led to Rocker allegedly pulling a firearm out and firing a round inside a local residence. Immediately following the incident, one of the victims inside the home required stitches “due to (Rocker’s) violence.”
Rocker is a felon who was convicted of third-degree murder in Alachua County in 1991. Three years later, he was convicted of aggravated assault and aggravated battery, and he was convicted of armed robbery in 2008.
“He is a violent criminal; we need to get him off our streets and into my jail,” said Sheriff Woods.

Benjamin Bariteau is wanted for grand theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, fleeing to elude law enforcement, child abuse, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to MCSO, Bariteau allegedly “went from being a thief to putting a child in danger just to avoid getting arrested.”
Sheriff Woods stated that he needs help from citizens to “(get) this criminal off our streets.”

Jamie Eric Miller is wanted for fraudulent use of personal information belonging to a person over 60, scheme to defraud, and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
In 2019, Miller was released from a North Carolina prison after serving approximately nine years for 18 counts of identity theft and three counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
According to MCSO, Miller has allegedly been using a credit card obtained with a victim’s information to purchase over $21,000 in cruises, firearms, and car maintenance services.
After launching an investigation, MCSO detectives learned that Miller may be staying in the Dunnellon area with a relative who is hiding him.
“To that family member: I have no problem securing a room for you in my jail if you continue to help him evade justice,” said Sheriff Woods. “I will arrest you too.”

John Clark, Jr. is wanted for two counts of failure to comply with sexual offender registration requirements.
In 2014, Clark was convicted in Marion County for three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. As a result of his conviction, he is supposed to register his home address with MCSO, and he must notify the sheriff’s office within 48 hours if he moves.
According to MCSO, deputies went to Clark’s home and discovered an eviction notice on the door. The residence was empty, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
“We need your help getting this sex offender off the streets,” said Sheriff Woods.

John Wesley Coe is wanted for two counts of failure to comply with sexual offender registration requirements.
In 2010, Coe was convicted in Marion County for sexual battery while armed. As a result of his conviction, Coe is supposed to register his home address with MCSO, and he must notify the sheriff’s office within 48 hours if he moves.
According to MCSO, when deputies checked Coe’s home address, he was not there. The sheriff’s office stated that this isn’t the first time that Coe has failed to comply with his registration requirements.
“We need your help getting this sex offender off the streets, into my jail, and back to prison where he belongs,” said Sheriff Woods.
