A Mardi Gras-themed holiday charity ball benefiting local organizations will be hosted at a local recreation center this weekend.
Reach Aim Motivate And Lead (R.A.M.A.L.) will host its Holiday Charity Ball on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Center at Reed Place, located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.
This event will raise funds for some of Ocala and Marion County’s favorite charities, including Kut Different, The ROCK program, the Marion County Boys & Girls Club, the Estelle Byrd Whitman Wellness Center, and R.A.M.A.L. Educational and Social Services, Inc.
The holiday “Mardi Gras” charity ball is designed to be a feast for the senses, encouraging attendees to embrace the festive spirit with vibrant attire, masks, and beads. It is an opportunity to dance, connect, and contribute to the greater good.
The event will feature an immersive Mardi Gras experience with live music, DJ Casey Heathman, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and gift card drawings, and creative contests with prizes for the most imaginative mask and umbrella.
“This isn’t just another fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community, culture, and compassion,” said Dr. Barbara J. Brooks, Director of R.A.M.A.L. Throughout the program, guests will learn about these impactful organizations and how their contributions will make a difference in the community.
Tickets are $75 and available for purchase. For reserved tables, sponsorships, or more information about the event and the nonprofits involved, please contact Dr. Brooks at (352) 875-4237 or email [email protected].
