An event that will feature live demonstrations of pioneer women making items from the 1800s will return to a historic landmark in Ocala this week.
Pioneer Women’s History Days will return to the Fort King National Historic Landmark (3925 E Fort King Street) on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will celebrate contributions from pioneering women of the 1800s and their impact on today’s generations and trends.
There will be live demonstrations by fiber artisans, tea masters, fashion showcases, games, pioneer playtime, toy making, and a special presentation on lady lighthouse keepers.
