A woman was arrested for trespassing after she allegedly drove through a new housing development under construction in northeast Ocala and harassed workers, threatening to call President Trump to have them deported.

On Wednesday, April 16, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the sales office for Emerson Pointe, a new 323-unit housing development being built in the 2100 block of NE 28th Street in Ocala, according to the arrest report.

The deputy made contact with a manager for the construction company who advised that a woman, identified as Lystra Finn, had been “driving around the development harassing construction crews and causing disturbances.” The report stated that the manager wanted to have Finn trespassed from the incident location.

While on-scene, the deputy made contact with Finn as she drove back into Emerson Pointe. The deputy provided Finn with a copy of the trespass warning and instructed her that she could face criminal chargers if she returned to the incident location, according to the report.

The following day, Finn allegedly returned to Emerson Pointe numerous times. The deputy noted that in each instance, Finn allegedly drove around the development while “yelling at workers and threatening to call President Trump” and “have them deported.”

By the time that several deputies arrived at Emerson Pointe, Finn had already left. A witness told the deputies that Finn was “driving through the development about every 30 minutes [and] harassing workers,” according to the report.

After the deputies waited for a “short time,” Finn returned to incident location, and a traffic stop was conducted on her vehicle. The report stated that since Emerson Pointe does not currently have any residents, a “trespass warning for the entire development would be valid.”

Finn was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail, where she is currently being held on a $1,000 bond. She is facing a misdemeanor trespassing charge.

A court date for Finn has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
