The city of Ocala’s swimming pools will open for the season beginning this weekend, with new prices for children and adults.

Both the Hampton Aquatic Center (225 NW Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) and the Jervey Gantt Aquatic Center (2390 SE 36th Avenue) will officially open for the season on Saturday, May 24. On Saturday, the facilities will be open for both morning and afternoon sessions.

On Sunday, May 25, the facilities will only be open for the afternoon session. On Monday, May 26, the pools will have a morning and afternoon session.

The facilities have been closed since the fall, as is customary.

Both locations will open seven days a week for the entire Summer season beginning on May 30.

The cost to visit each facility is $3 per child and $5 per adult, which represents an increase over the previous season’s prices (i.e., $2 per child and $3.50 per adult).

According to the city, outside coolers, drinks, and food are not permitted at either pool, as concessions are available for purchase.

Last year, both facilities welcomed a series of upgrades, including new slides and sunshades.
