Ocala pool centers officially reopen for Summer

Swimming facilities in the city of Ocala officially reopened for the Summer this weekend.

Jervey Gantt Aquatic Fun Center (2390 SE 36th Avenue) and Hampton Aquatic Fun Center (225 NW Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd) are both open seven days a week. On Sunday and Monday, only afternoon sessions will be available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday through Saturday, two sessions will be available: A morning session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an afternoon session from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission for a single session is $2 for children ages 17 and under, and $3.50 for adults ages 18 and up.

According to city officials, upgrades have been made to both facilities since last season, including new slides and a sunshade at the top of each slide entry.

Outside coolers, drinks, and food are not permitted at either pool, as concessions are available for purchase.
