Two more Ocala residents shared their opinions about roundabouts in the city to alleviate traffic concerns:

“We live only four houses from the intersection of SW 66th Street and SW 27th Avenue. If they are going to install a potential roundabout at that intersection, we will never be able to get out or into our driveway. It’s bad enough now with rush hour traffic. It will be a nightmare with a roundabout with a constant flow of traffic. I can remember that there was only a stop sign there about 20 years ago. Ocala is being way over built for sure.”Emile Acquaire, Ocala

“First, there has to be instructions on using roundabouts. No one knows how to use them. Looks good on paper, but it’s very confusing. The liberals use them in Gainesville, but it’s like a racetrack: ‘I’m going to get there first no matter who it affects.'” – Robert Murphy, Ocala
