Southbound lanes of Interstate 75 have been closed on Friday afternoon after an accident in Ocala, just two days after another shut down from a semi-truck striking an overpass.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, as of 3:30 p.m., all of the southbound lanes of I-75 are closed at mile marker 353 due to a crash that occurred this afternoon.

Videos of the roadway show vehicles stopped in traffic for miles along the highway.

The incident marks the second complete shutdown of one side of the highway this week alone.

On Wednesday, the southbound lanes on the highway were shut down for several hours after a dump truck crashed into an overpass.
