Marion County firefighters successfully contained a structure fire in Citra over the weekend after responding to reports of two buildings heavily involved.

The incident occurred Saturday, November 22, at approximately 4:43 p.m. in the 3100 Block of NE 155th Place. Crews arriving from Sparr Station #19 found the main residence and a storage building heavily involved in flames.

Firefighters had to spray surrounding trees and bushes that caught fire during the incident.
