To the Editor:
Why doesn’t Ocala have a train, metro, or subway system? The tracks are already here. There’s a set of tracks by Lockheed Martin in the shores that go straight up into town and right into the square downtown.
Everyone is complaining about too many drivers and how bad State Road 200 is, why not bring in a subway? The infrastructure is already here.
You could put in stations along Maricamp, U.S. Highway 301, and go straight into downtown.
This seems like a no-brainer to alleviate some of the unbearable traffic we have here.
