The Ocala Christmas Parade will return for its 70th installment this weekend.
The parade will be held on Saturday, December 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of SE 25th Avenue and Fort King Street.
Event organizers are advising motorists to expect multiple road closures and detours beginning at 3 p.m.
This year’s parade is themed “Christmas Through the Decades.” Candy will be handed out during the event and bleacher seating will be available.
After the parade kicks off, it will move north to E Silver Springs Boulevard before turning left/west onto the boulevard and traveling 1.6 miles to NE 8th Avenue.
Upon reaching 8th Avenue, the parade will then turn right/north, and will end at NE 3rd Street, just before Tuscawilla Park.
