A building in Ocala that served as a beverage stop for nearly four decades has been repurposed into the city’s first flower drive-thru.
The Rose Barn is set to open in January at 912 NE 14th Street, the former site of the Beverage Barn. The new business is owned and operated by Jana M. Costa and Robin Leombrone.
Utilizing the building’s existing infrastructure, Costa and Leombrone will operate the city’s first drive-through flower shop, offering “grab-and-go bouquets” that allow customers to pick up fresh flowers quickly.
In addition to the drive-through service, the location will feature a “micro nursery” and a small gift shop selling “cute add-ons” and items to complement floral purchases, according to a statement from its social media.
The shop will also offer prearranged and custom floral arrangements for various occasions.
Additionally, the business plans to introduce a “Bouquet Bar,” an interactive station where customers can pick their own flowers and design custom bouquets. This feature will be available at the storefront, at Saturday markets, and as a rental for private events like bridal showers.
The owners say that the venue aims to provide a “kid-friendly, family-friendly environment” where neighbors can gather.
The business has indicated that it will open in January, although it has not yet announced a specific date for its grand opening.
