Lawrence Geoghegan of Dunnellon, FL, formerly of Watertown, WI, passed away on 1/19/2026.
Larry was born on 2/16/33 in the Bronx, NY to Lawrence and Charlotte Geoghegan. He married Patricia Dolce on June 26, 1966. After serving in the U.S. Army, being a police officer in the NYPD, and a firefighter in the FDNY, Larry and Pat moved to Watertown, Wisconsin to become first generation, self-taught farmers.
Throughout his life, Larry enjoyed farming, horses, reading, and learning about the Amish community through both visits and personal friendships. He enjoyed spending many of his later days at the library and at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
He is survived by his children, Christopher Geoghegan, Susan (Rick) Achtziger, and Amy Anspach; and grandchildren Patrick and Caitlin Geoghegan, Anthony and Nikolas Achtziger, and Ethan and Alessandra Anspach, as well as other nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Geoghegan; parents, Lawrence and Charlotte Geoghegan; sister Arlene Geoghegan; brother James Geoghegan; and niece, Jennifer Singer.
