An Ocala Walmart employee was recently arrested after allegedly stealing a pair of Bose headphones valued at over $400.

On Tuesday, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived at the Walmart located at 9570 SW Highway 200 in Ocala in reference to a theft incident involving a store associate, according to the arrest report.

The deputy noted that the store was investigating one of their employees, 37-year-old Aaron Charles Brown, in connection with multiple thefts that had allegedly occurred between December 12, 2025, and February 3, 2026. However, the store only wanted to press charges for a theft incident that allegedly occurred on January 14, 2026.

Shortly after 8:40 p.m. on January 14, 2026, Brown was allegedly observed on the store’s video surveillance footage grabbing a pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. According to the report, Brown then placed the headphones into a shopping cart filled with “return items” that needed to be placed back on the shelves, according to the report.

At around 8:57 p.m., Brown was observed on the video footage walking away from the electronics department while holding the headphones and a hat. Two minutes later, he allegedly walked to the men’s department, where he returned the hat and grabbed a package of underwear.

Brown proceeded to take the headphones and package of underwear to a register, where he only scanned the underwear, according to the report. He then allegedly placed both the headphones and underwear into a plastic bag before exiting the store with the unpaid merchandise at 9:14 p.m.

The report mentioned that the total loss for the store is $404.

A criminal history search of Brown revealed that he was previously convicted of petit theft in Coral Springs in 2008.

Brown was placed under arrest and booked into Marion County Jail on Tuesday evening. Five hours later, he was released after posting bond, and he is being charged with second-degree petit theft (second or subsequent offense).

A court date for Brown has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
