A property that houses a new Wawa that opened in south Ocala late last year has just been sold for over $4.8 million.
The property located at 5200 S Pine Avenue was sold by WPG Triple Crown LLC to Overland Leasing LLC for $4,846,000 on Friday, April 17.
Tenant Wawa officially cut the ribbon on the new gas station last September. The company maintains a multi-year lease on the site.

According to state corporate records, Overland Leasing LLC is a truck transportation company based in Utah.
WPG Triple Crown LLC is owned by Tampa-based Wagner Property Group (WPG), which specializes in all aspects of retail development.

The gas station is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and SE 52nd Street, near two other gas stations (Circle K and bp) and just south of the Ocala Drive-In.
The sale marks yet another transaction involving a recently constructed commercial property, which includes multiple Wawa locations.

Last March, WPG sold a newly constructed Wawa at 2277 SW Highway 484 in Ocala for $4,240,000.
Last January, the sole Wawa in Belleview was sold to an investment group based in Kentucky.
The sales of the seventh and eighth Wawa locations in Ocala come amidst explosive growth for the brand in the area over the past six years.
Wawa opened its first three gas stations in Ocala simultaneously in 2019.
The fourth gas station opened along State Road 200 later in 2019, and the fifth location opened on Maricamp Road in 2020.
In February 2024, the company opened its sixth location along State Road 200.
