Marion County residents are encouraged to leave non-perishable food donations in a plastic bag next to their mailbox on Friday night or Saturday morning to benefit others in need.
The 2026 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will take place on Saturday, May 9, across the country.
Marion County residents may participate in the food drive by placing their non-perishable food donations in a plastic bag inside or next to their mailbox on Friday night or Saturday morning.
The postal workers will then collect the donations, which will benefit the food pantry at Interfaith Emergency Services.
The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, which takes place annually on the second Saturday in May, is the nation’s largest “all-volunteer, one-day food collection” event.
In 2024, residents donated nearly 100,000 pounds of non-perishable foods during that year’s drive.

Interfaith Emergency Services is a local organization that operates a food pantry and homeless shelter.
