To the Editor:

At what point are we going to have county commissioners stop getting their pockets lined and voting yes to every project that turns our rural and farm lands to cookie cutter houses on zero lot lines with no character?

The Brick City/Horse Capital are a distant memory. No buildings with brick, and less horse farms than ten or even five years ago. Our quality of life declines with every new housing development.

A moratorium should be put in place on building to regroup our county on what we want to be. We do not want to be another Tampa, Orlando, The Villages, etc.

We want to be the outdoor, nature, hiking, biking, horses of all disciplines and anything agriculture, bovine, or equine, or people that just want large lots for privacy.

You can’t drive anywhere easily anymore. The nostalgia is slipping day by day and all of us live lesser lives because of these commissioners.

I work long days with our horses and cattle. People like me don’t have the free time to go sit at every meeting. Please help.
