The Florida Park Service is hosting the Fourth Annual Junior Ranger Jamboree at Silver Springs State Park this weekend, which will afford children the opportunity to explore the park and be sworn in as a Junior Ranger.
The jamboree will be Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Silver Springs State Park (5656 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala).
This statewide event is a way for kids to spend the day in a park and play outdoors. Jamboree events will include opportunities to discover and explore Florida’s natural and cultural resources, learn about park stewardship, and join group activities with new friends.
During the Jamboree events, kids and families can work through the Junior Ranger passport activities and be officially sworn in as a Junior Ranger with their own badge.
