To the Editor:
Three companies, (Sleepy Creek Lands/Adena Springs, Seven Springs Water Company/Nestle/Blue Triton, and Silver Springs Bottled Water Co.) were given permits (for a paltry $230.00/$500.00 one time payment) to draw millions of gallons of water a day, every day from our precious underground water supply for 10 years.
That strain on our water supply was already bad enough, but now we are in a near severe drought.
They take our water for pennies and then sell it back to us in unsafe plastic bottles. Our bodies are polluted with micro plastics from many sources, but that source is so avoidable, as we all have faucets in our homes.
Someday, we may find no water when we turn them on, because someone decided to get rich selling us our own God-given, life-sustaining water. What do these companies do with out-of-date bottles?
Stop selling our water.
